The new Shimano Kairiki 8 is a renovated eight braid produced in Japan and now features a “VT construction method” braiding technology. It is a very strong and soft PE line that is perfect for throwing over long distances. It is available in diameters from 0.06mm to 0.42mm with an incredible breaking strength of 100lbs. It has the perfect properties for throwing in fresh and salt water as it is very sensitive and very soft, which also produces noise reduction. Two additional colours will also be available in addition to Mantis Green and Steel Grey, i.e. a highly visible yellow and multi-coloured. The multi colour is particularly interesting for fishing at greater depths. Due to the softness and small diameter, Kairiki 8 is an excellent line for jigging, as it has low water resistance and a maximum stretch of <3.0%, it is also very sensitive.
